Logo Use Guideline
To ensure the integrity of the logo as a communications tool, these guidelines describe how to use it appropriately on a BCC website.
Guidelines:
- The logo mark and logotype should be used together in the same proportions that are shown below . In some special cases, the BCC logo mark may be used alone, but the full name of the college must be shown on the same page.

- The logo should be scaled proportionately. The logo must be scaled proportionally to maintain visual integrity and avoid stretching or skewing (Tip: To resize the logo in Photoshop for use on the web, keep the proper proportions by only resizing using the image size properties.
- The logo should be saved as a higher quality jpg or a gif with at least 128 adaptive colors to retain the clarity of the logo for optimal screen quality
- The logo must be clearly readable. Minimum sizes for use on the web are listed below:

view each type of logo - Allow generous space around the logo, so that the name of the college will stand out. The minimum space surrounding the signature should equal the height, proportionally, of the lowercase letters in the logotype.
- On a website, the reversed 1-color version of the logo may be used against solid background colors on a website. See examples of suggested colors that are consistent with the BCC graphic identity.
- The logo should not be cropped with a box of color around it that is different than the background color of the page.
- The logo should not be used against a textured background on a website.
- Do not attempt to combine the logo with other art or logos. The logo represents all BCC departments and offices. The names of individual units should be presented in text below the logotype to avoid competing logos. (Exceptions should be made through College Relations office.)
- The logo may not be used as a background element, part of a wallpaper background on a website or screened back behind type.
- The logo should appear in the top portion of the screen near the stated title of the website or web page. The college name should be clearly represented on the site without requiring the reader to scroll through the page to find it.
- The colors for screen displays and web graphic versions of the logo are:
RGB (screen) Hexidecimal (Web/HTML) 190R 60G 60B (red) C63C3C (red) - The logo may not be altered or be incorporated into another logo or design, particularly background patterns, animated gifs or bullets on a website.
