The Women's Center assists students, alumni, and members of the community, both men and women, in reaching their academic and career goals.
We encourage student-to-student mentoring, provide college and scholarship information, assist with developing a career path through one-on-one resource advising and career transition classes, and provide referrals to college and community resources.
Resource Advising
Our Resource Advisor is available to meet with you one-on-one and direct you to resources. For a quick referral, you can also call, e-mail or stop by our Center and our staff can refer you to resources on our campus and in the community. Please call our intake desk at (425) 564-2279 or stop by our Center, located on the 2nd floor of the Student Services Building.
We also make resource referrals for the following issues:
- Career resources (e.g., classes, career center, workshops, Working Wardrobe)
- Childcare
- College scholarships through private donors
- Domestic violence
- Emergency feeding (food banks and hot meals)
- English as a Second Language classes
- Housing referrals (emergency overnight; low-income housing, utilities assistance)
- Legal assistance
- Life skills support (parenting, anger management; grief; divorce)
- Medical needs
- Mentoring programs (e.g., Big Brother, Big Sister)
- Ongoing counseling needs
- Personal Finance information (accounting, tax preparation, credit counseling)
- Sexual harassment
- Single Parent Connection Club for BC students
- Student financial aid resources

Scholarships and Awards
Many scholarships and awards are available for you to apply throughout the year, with scholarship amounts ranging from $250 to $12,000. Our Center provides applications for current scholarships, assistance with essay writing, a weekly scholarship orientation, self-help and Internet resources.
