ACADEMIC TUTORING
SUMMER quarter - 2009 Requests will be accepted the third day of summer quarter Our Services include: FREE Individual & Drop-in Tutoring
There are a number of factors that determine if and when you receive tutoring: → Instructor approval → Your time availability → The tutor's time availability → If we have enough tutors to cover the incoming requests → Whether we have a tutor in place to cover your specific course request Because of these factors, it is important to remember tutoring is NOT guaranteed.
HOURSThe Academic Success Center will be closed and NO TUTORING provided each Friday of summer quarter MONDAY - THURSDAY 8:00AM - 4:30PMFRIDAY CLOSEDSATURDAY & SUNDAY CLOSED ACADEMIC TUTORING is located in D204. It is part of the ACADEMIC SUCCESS CENTER which provides academic assistance to students at Bellevue Community College. It includes four facilities: Academic Tutoring, Math Lab, Reading Lab and the Writing Lab. Come by our facility and check it out.

Individual Tutoring: We provide FREE individual tutoring for students who are earning a grade of C or below in their course. You will be assigned a trained tutor for a maximum of two (2) hours per week throughout the quarter. You must fill out an electronic request form in D204 or by clicking this link: Forms . Please contact your instructor prior to applying for a tutor; ALL requests are subject to instructor approval based on your grade in the course. Drop-in Tutoring:Any student may attend our FREE drop-in tutoring sessions in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Para-professional Accounting, Accounting and Statistics and the open lab for Business Technology Systems (BTS). The hours and place for each session is found under the Group Tutoring Schedules tab above.
Tutor Applications:If you are interested in becoming an academic tutor, please apply by filling out the application and reference form (see links above). Follow the instructions carefully and completely, and return your completed packet to the Front Desk in the ASC (D204). Hiring is done on an on-going basis throughout the academic year.
Mission:It is the mission of the Academic Tutoring Center to provide the best resources available to meet the needs of all students registered at Bellevue Community College in academic programs.
