English- Composition & Reading

ARTS & HUMANITIES DIVISION

Students planning to take English composition and/or reading classes must have the proper assessment. For more information, call (425) 564-2243 or go to the Student Services building. All reading courses require two to four hours per week of independent work in the Reading Lab in addition to regular class meetings.

ENGL 071 Developmental English and ENGL 080 Improving Reading Skills (Reading Lab) • 11 CR

Prerequisite: Placement by assessment. Course requires two to four hours per week of independent work in the Reading Lab in addition to regular class meetings. Class graded credit/no credit. Fee: $37.60 computer use.

ENGL 080 Improving Reading Skills Reading Lab • 1 CR

Plan to spend one hour in the Reading Lab during the first week of the quarter for orientation. The Reading Lab will be open from 12:00pm-4:00pm for Reading Lab students. Class is graded credit/no credit. Fee: $18.80 lab.
