Request to take over 18 credits

Before you request to take over 18 credits, please be aware that for every hour of class time, you are expected to spend two hours doing homework.

If you wish to take over 18 credits, you must submit this request form and have earned at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA at BCC or can show a previous transcript with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

If you are on the waitlist and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher, you do not need to submit this form. Payment does not guarantee your schedule. If the waitlist enrolls you in over 18 credits you must pay any additional tuition and fees or you may be dropped from the class.

If you are registered for more than 18 credits and you wish to drop a class, you must do so in person at the Student Service Center.

Requests to take over 18 credits are not generally approved for Summer quarter due to the condensed nature of the quarter. In order to be approved to take over 18 credits for Summer it is necessary to submit an appeal directly to the VP of Student Services.
