Partnership for Independence is a program providing on-going support for adult students pursuing a certificate of two-year degree. Depending on the needs of the applicant, Overlake Service League provides financial assistance with tuition and books, living expenses ( such as rent , utilities ,food, clothing , daycare), and other expenses related to their education.
Applicant Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be seeking their certificate or two year degree program at a vocational or public college
- Applicant must reside in the Bellevue School District
- Applicant must be accepted to public college or technical school in Washington
- Applicant must be have completed the FAFSA
- Applicant must be a United States citizen, a refugee or registered alien awaiting eligibility for US citizenship
- Applicant must be able to show responsible and realistic educational goals, motivation , and good character, as well as financial need.
