Main Campus Parking - LEFE FAQ
Bellevue College uses the US Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay Elite standard as the qualification for Low Emission Fuel Efficient Vehicle (LEFE) Parking space use at the college.
If your vehicle meets the EPA SmartWay Elite standard, you qualify for a LEFE parking permit.
SmartWay is a designation earned by those vehicles that have combined Air Pollution and Greenhouse Gas Scores that place them in the top tier (approximately the top 20%) of environmentally responsible performers.
SmartWay Elite is reserved for the best of the best (for more information see: “About the Ratings”).
- Go to the US EPA Green Vehicle Guide and find the rightmost box labeled, “Look up Greenest Vehicles”.
- Mark the checkbox SmartWay Elite
- Select the, “Year” of your vehicle
- In the state field, select, “All States”
- Press Submit

SmartWay Elite vehicles (not
SmartWay) qualify, so make sure to click the checkbox labeled,
SmartWay Elite before searching.
LEFE parking permits are available at K100, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
Yes. You must have a current Student or Employee parking permit that is valid during the quarter you apply for LEFE parking.
LEFE parking permits are good for the entire quarter.
There are first come, first served parking stalls reserved for LEFE vehicles in the parking garage.
LEFE parking is available on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of the Parking Garage.
