Main Campus Parking - Carpool FAQ
You will need 3 or more current Bellevue College students who commute in the same vehicle during the quarter to qualify for a carpool permit.
All vehicles used for the carpool will also need regular parking pass - Everyday, Monday – Wednesday, or Tuesday – Thursday – valid on the intended days of use.
All carpool participants will need to come into K100 at the same time to apply for a carpool permit.
The Carpool Parking Pass Application requests the following information for all commuters involved:
- Parking permit number for each vehicle that will be parking on campus
- Name of each commuter
- BC ID # of each commuter
- License Plate Number of all cars used for the carpool
- Date
- Signature of all commuters
Carpool parking is available in the Parking Garage, in specially marked, “carpool only” parking spaces.
Yes. All vehicles parked in areas designated for carpool must have a valid parking permit and a carpool permit.
All vehicles parked at Bellevue College must have a regular parking permit – Everyday, Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday - valid on the intended days of use.
No. Carpool permits are only valid for vehicles with 3 or more commuters. You may be cited and the permit will be revoked if there are not at least 3 current Bellevue College students exiting from the vehicle at the time the vehicle is parked.
No. The parking permit number of the vehicle must match the one on the carpool permit.
A parked vehicle different than one registered in your carpool application will be cited and the carpool permit revoked.
Clearly display or affixed to the driver’s side front window or dashboard.
You may be cited if the permit is not clearly displayed in the driver’s side area.
Yes, as long as all vehicles are registered in carpool permit application. Simply bring the carpool pass with you that day, and properly display the permit on the driver’s side dashboard or windshield.
No. Additional carpool permits will not be issued.
Do not lose the carpool permit.
No. This would be a violation of traffic laws.
All vehicles parked in designated carpool parking must have seating for at least 3 people.
You will be cited and towed for parking a two-seat vehicle in carpool parking.
Yes. If there are changes to the drivers, bring the permit into Public Safety. The new driver should have a valid parking permit number in their possession.
