Pluralism Steering Committee

Purpose:
The Pluralism Steering Committee will provide leadership, oversight, and coordination for the college Pluralism initiatives by serving as a liaison between President’s Staff, the campus Pluralism committees, and the Diversity Caucus.
Membership:
- The chairs of the Employee Pluralism Committee, the Student Pluralism Committee, and the Instructional Pluralism Committee
- A representative from the Pluralism Advisory Board
- Dean of Student Services
- Assistant to the Vice President for Diversity
- Executive Dean of Instruction
- Vice President for Diversity
- Chair(s) of the Diversity Caucus
- Director of Multi-Cultural Services
- Chair of the Ethnic & Cultural Studies Program
- Director of Disability Resource Center
- ASG Vice President of Pluralism and Student Affairs
- Pluralism Training Coordinator
Tasks:
To provide oversight for and coordination among the Employee Pluralism Committee, the Student Pluralism Committee, and the Instructional Pluralism Committee. To communicate issues, concerns, and suggestions identified by the committees, Diversity Caucus, and the Pluralism Advisory Board to the appropriate committee or administrative unit; to ensure communication of the activities of the Pluralism committees throughout the campus.
Frequency:
Monthly, or more frequently as needed.
