How do I get to use the Fitness Center?
It is a class for which you must be enrolled if you are a student at Bellevue College. You may either take it for two credits or you may audit (no credit). PE 110, 111, 112 Life Fitness Training
If you are not a BC student, but are a staff or faculty member, or a community member, you may enroll with a non-credit class option under ADFIT 010 or 020 Adult Fitness Development
What does it mean the class time is "ARRANGED"?
You may attend class and work out during the open hours of the Fitness Center
The Fitness Center is closed on days in which no regular classes are scheduled, including holidays, finals week, school closures, etc.

What do I need to do before my first workout? ORIENTATION
Orietations are held every hour on the half hour on the first 2 days of each quarter. The first orientation start at 7:30 am and the last at 7:30 pm. Once the first days of the quarter have passed, make-up orientations are held at 8:00 AM, 12:00 Noon and 5:00PM. Each orientation takes about 40 minutes.
How do I get credit for working out?
Your visits are tracked by computer. You must complete a minimum of 40 minutes per visit in the Fitness Center to earn credit. You may work out longer and more than once a day, but you can earn only one visit for credit per day.
How do I earn a grade?
39 or more workouts = A
30-38 workouts = Pass
29 workouts or less = Failure
Can I exercise outside or at another gym for credit?
No. There are Wellness Center activities offered for extra credit. Information is posted as these activities are scheduled.

May I bring a friend?
Not unless your friend is also registered in the class. Only students registered for Life Fitness/Adult Fitness Development may enter and use the Fitness Center.
What about showers and lockers?
Showers are available in the men's and women's locker rooms. Lockers are available, but you must bring your own lock. It is strongly advised that you lock up ALL your belongings. Towels are also available for your use.
How is the Fitness Center different during Summer Quarter (below only applies to summer)
Summer Fitness Center Hours:
8:00-12:00, Monday through Thursday
Grading:
26+ hours for an A
20-25:59 for a Pass Grading is based on total workout time not visits!
and anything less than 20 is an F
Students must work out more that forty minutes for every visit. They may work out more than once in a day, but each visit must be longer than forty minutes and the visits combined may not exceed 80 minutes.
Each Visit= 40min or more. Total time for each day must not exceed 80 minutes. There are limited extra credit activities, this class is designed to have participant create a pattern of fitness.
STUDENTS MUST ATTEND ONE FITNESS CENTER ORIENTATION PER ACADEMIC YEAR.
The academic year starts in Summer and Ends in the Spring
