Internships
The internship experience at OLS is designed to provide a safe and practical environment for students to develop a deeper understanding of the occupational and interpersonal skills they have learned. Internship sites are chosen to reflect each individual student’s career pathway developed throughout the first three years of OLS coursework. The senior class cohort moves together through coursework that is interwoven with the internship experience. Supportive sharing and problem solving smooth the transition from school to workplace.
Students receive direct feedback from their supervisors, co-workers and the OLS internship coordinator about areas of strength and areas in need of improvement. The internship culminates in formal senior projects presented to the OLS student body, family, friends, faculty and hosting internship staff and supervisors.
