BCC Drama students are exceptional
at Kennedy Center festival

Several Bellevue Community College Drama students were honored for their acting and directing abilities at the 2008 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and Northwest Drama Conference, held in February at the University of Wyoming.

Heather Amos was named alternate winner of the William Inge Directing Competition.

Erin Tulberg and Lacy Sarco, performing together, were two of the 16 competitors, out of 153 nominees, who made it to the final round of competition for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship.

Students Lindsay Cook and Nat Jensen, another BCC acting pair, were among the 32 students who made it to the semi-finals.

It was the third year in a row that BCC students have advanced to at least the semi-final round for this award.
