BCC Drama Dept. presents two hilarious one-act comedies
BELLEVUE, WASH. – The Bellevue Community College Drama Department will offer a hilarious look at 1960s England when it presents a pair of British one-act plays -- The Real Inspector Hound and Black Comedy -- on May 18 – 19 and 24 – 26.
All performances begin at 8 p.m. in BCC’s Stopgap Theatre, located in the E Building on BCC’s main campus (3000 Landerholm Circle S.E., Bellevue, at the intersection of S.E. 28th St. and 148th Ave. S.E.).
Tickets, at $5, will be available only at the door.
The Real Inspector Hound, by Tom Stoppard, tells the story of two theater critics who by accident become involved in the action of a “whodunit" they are reviewing.
Black Comedy is a farce by Peter Shaffer, in which the action takes place almost entirely during a power failure. When the characters’ apartment plunges into darkness they pursue, deceive and (nearly) avoid each other.
The production is directed by BCC Drama Instructor Tammis Doyle, with lighting design by Drama Instructor Brian Healy and BCC student Jenny Littlefield.
