Cranium genius and ‘Grand Poo-Bah’ Richard Tait will highlight BCC Foundation luncheon April 25
BELLEVUE, WASH. – Unconventional and wildly successful entrepreneur Richard Tait, “Grand Poo-Bah” of the hit game-maker Cranium, will be the featured speaker at the Bellevue Community College Foundation’s 8th Annual Luncheon April 25.
Expected to draw a crowd of 500 supporters of higher education, the public event will be held at Meydenbauer Convention Center in Bellevue. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the program begins at noon.
Gifts from luncheon participants will be used to fund student scholarships and other activities to strengthen educational opportunities at BCC.
Anyone wishing to attend should RSVP online at http://bellevuecollege.edu.edu/foundation/invite/rsvp.asp or by e-mail to Kara Talbott at ktalbott@bcc.ctc.edu.
The luncheon is being underwritten by Bellevue-based Univar, with additional support from Wells Fargo and more than 20 other local corporations and individuals.
A former Microsoft Corporation manager, Tait and his partner, Whit Alexander, started Cranium in 1998, soon hitting it big with their flagship product, the board game ‘Cranium.’
Now a world-wide phenomenon, Cranium and other games by Tait’s group are known for providing all players a chance to shine and creating hilarious, memorable moments.
Cranium has won the prestigious Toy-of-the-Year game award from the Toy Industry Association in four of the past five years. Including its other game titles, such as the award-winning Zooreka, the Cranium company has sold more than 15 million games in 10 languages and 30 countries.
The Bellevue Community College Foundation is a non-profit organization established to raise funds to enhance educational opportunities at BCC. Through a combination of individual, foundation and corporate donations, the Foundation provides funding for scholarships, program enhancements and special projects. The BCC Foundation holds assets of more than $4 million and, since its inception, has raised more than $20 million on behalf of BCC.
