What is MCS?

Multi-Cultural Services (MCS) provides academic and support services as well as advocacy for students of color, low income students, first generation and lesbian/gay/transgender students at BCC.

Our program goal is to promote and support the implementation of strategies to improve student success, increase student retention and enhance student satisfaction. Additionally, we are a partner in the promotion of cultural diversity within the college and surrounding community.

MCS works to achieve these goals by assisting the College in the areas of outreach, academic advising, counseling, advocacy, monitoring academic progress, course instruction, advising cultural clubs/organizations, cultural events planning and facilitation, curriculum and policy development.
