Information Research Questionnaire

Used as a pre- and post-test for Mice and Matter at Bellevue Community College.

  1. Have you had an orientation session on the BCC library? If yes, when?

  2. What are Ebscohost and Proquest?

  3. Have you utilized the open computer lab (N250) in the NWCET building?

  4. Do you have Internet access off campus?

  5. Do you use email, either at home, work or school?

  6. Have you written any major term papers or done a research project in the past two years?

  7. If yes, what resources did you use for gathering information?

  8. How familiar are you with the Internet, and how to find specific information on World Wide Web? i.e do you use it often, not much, never.

  9. What are Boolean connectors? Give an example.

  10. If you were conducting research in order to write a term paper, how would you determine the reliability and validity of the information you find?

  11. Write the complete citation for your textbook, as if you were using it for a bibliography.
