You may search the online catalog to see if BCC subscribes to a magazine or journal.
[In the online catalog, the word "journal" refers to magazines, newspapers, and academic journals.]

In the "Search for:" box, type the journal title you want to search for.
[If you don't see the "Search for:" box: click on the "Bellevue Community College" link at the top of the catalog screen.]

In the "Search in:" box click on "Journal (e.g. sports illustrated)".

Click the "Submit Search" button.

Using the scrollbar on the catalog panel, scroll down to the middle of the screen to view your results. The first part of the catalog description includes:

• The title of the newspaper --
  "The Seattle times"
• Former names of the publication. In this example, "The Seattle times" was formerly called the "Seattle daily times" --
  "Seattle daily times (Seattle, Wash. : 1896)"
• The physical description of the newspaper --
  "v. : ill., 60 cm."
• The publication place, publisher, and years of publication of the newspaper --
  "Seattle, Wash. : W.K. Blethen, 1966-"
• The subject of the newspaper --
  "Seattle (Wash.)-Newspapers.
• Any notes related to the newspaper --
  "On Sunday published as..."

The final part of the catalog description includes:

• The location of the newspaper in the library. This newspaper can be found on the 1st floor with the periodicals --
  "Library Location: Periodical Stacks"
• The call number of the newspaper. In the BCC library, magazines, journals, and newspapers are shelved alphabetically by title --
  "Call Number: Shelved under title"
• The status of the newspaper --
  "Status: Available on Shelf"
• The issues of the newspaper that the library owns, and the location of those issues. In this example, recent issues of the newspaper are shelved in the Periodical Stacks, while older issues are available on microfilm --
  "Current 3 mos. (Print); 1977-present (Microform)"
