Much of the information relevant to your studies here at BC will be found in periodicals (journals, magazines, newspapers). Periodicals come in different formats: we have some in print but most are electronic. We have some individual print subscriptions, but by and large, most periodicals you will use will be in one of our databases. Most of the search strategy that I discussed in the beginning of this module applies to database searching. I'm going to focus primarily on the databases which have a medical focus: PubMed, MedLine and CINAHL (via EBSCOhost) and Science Direct. But first I'll start with our individual subscriptions.
