Music from a CD, Audiocassette, LP
To cite a piece/song from an audio CD, etc., you citation needs to include the artist, year, title of the individual piece/song, the
name of the album, and the label who published the album. The year included in the citation is when this CD was published, not when the song was first released. Here's a citation for a song off of the album The Beatles Anthology 1.
Music from a Database
Bellevue College subscribes to the Music Online database, which contains tracks of music. To cite music found in this database, follow the pattern in the example above. The format in this case is [Audio file]. You will also need to include the web address for the music at the end of your citation. Here's the citation for a song by the Four Tops, found in the Music Online database:
