Job Summary |
The KBCS Membership & Administrative Director works for KBCS 91.3FM, licensed to Bellevue College. This position reports to the KBCS General Manager. This position provides leadership and coordination for all aspects of station administrative areas, including membership department, office management, volunteer coordination and other duties as needed. |
Typical Duties |
- Supervise membership department including Raisers Edge database management.
- Responsible for all membership customer service.
- Responsible to tracking and receipting all membership donations.
- Responsible for secure storage of membership records.
- Responsible for collection of pledges not yet paid, keeping donor card numbers current, collection of time payments no longer current.
- Supervise renewal, lapsed, prospect, acquisition, new member check-up, year-end and tax receipt mailings.
- Run reports and report to staff on the membership department efforts.
- Assist in completing annual CPB audit.
- Gather info to submit to DEI for Benchmarks reports.
- Research and order fund drive gifts, responsible for fund drive gift fulfillment
- Assist with volunteer coordination including communication with existing station volunteer programmers, office staff and pledge drive helpers. Work with other KBCS staff on recruitment, retention and training.
- Assist with station events as required.
- Serve as member of station management team; participate in staff meetings, retreats, other events and activities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- An Associate's degree
- Work experience in a community radio, public radio or other membership environment.
- Work experience in planning and implementing effective community radio, public radio or other annual donor or membership drive efforts.
- A strong commitment to improve KBCS’s financial well being as well as its image and visibility throughout our broadcast regions.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's degree
- Four years of experience working in a non-profit organization's membership/donor program
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer skills, including demonstrable experience working with The Raiser's Edge for Windows, and other PC-based applications
- A passion for the value of a community-based public radio station
