Admission
Important Pre-Departure Advice:
Useful documents to bring with you:
If you are applying to BC from overseas, you must apply as a full-time student. Upon acceptance, a properly processed I-20 form will be sent to you.
An I-20 form is one of the most important documents you must submit to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate when you apply for a student visa (F-1).
You are encouraged to apply for your student visa early to provide ample time for visa processing. You may apply for your
visa as soon as you are prepared to do so. However, please note that the U.S. Embassies and Consulates are not able to issue
your student visa more than 120 days prior to the starting date of the quarter you intend to attend as stated on your I-20 form.

- Medical, dental and immunization records - if you had medical problems in the past or have allergic reactions to something, you should ask your physician in your country to write down your conditions in English.
- An extra pair of eye-glasses or contact lens and prescription.
- Birth certificates for your children in English.
- Marriage certificate in English.
