Application 2011 Revision

“The Advisory Committee for the Bellevue College Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology Program met October 2010 to discuss the program application process and requirements. We believe that a job shadow experience in the field of diagnostic medical sonography is a valuable experience for prospective students, however, availability and access to job shadow sites has become prohibitive to accommodate the volume of prospective students for our sonography program. Because this opportunity is limited, we have removed the point offered to those who have done job shadowing, and will provide the opportunity to share any experience you have had in observing sonographers through the DVD recorded interview questions. We will no longer provide referrals for job shadow contacts, and any arrangements to job shadow will be left to the discretion of the applicant.”
