Overview
To further enrich your child's school experience, the Parent Education Department at Bellevue College (BC) offers unique Enrichment Classes for children. These classes include days for parents to assist the teacher in the classroom and a version of Parent Education to match the age of the children involved.
Each of these classes offers an explosion of activities to excite the mind and growing interest of the preschool-kindergarten aged child. Whichever class you choose, your child is certain to burst forth with enthusiasm for the creative discoveries he makes through full, hands-on participation.
Sammamish Arts and Sciences Lab is a one day per week enrichment program for three to five year olds, including kindergarteners. We offer hands-on exploration of a weekly curriculum focus through art and science activities which support and help children deepen their understanding of that focus. There is even a cooking experience included in each class ~ children are able to prepare their own snack as part of the learning.
The Lab, offered in 10 week segments, is a cooperative program with direct parental involvement and support. Parents have two roles as part of the program. First, parents will act as a teacher assistant in the classroom at least one time per session. Second, parents are able to attend regular parent education discussions regarding parenting and family life issues. Two Parent Education classes, led by an experienced Bellevue College Parent Educator, are held each session while the children are in class, and parents choose one that fits their schedule best.

How to Register
Tuition per college quarter (fall, winter and spring) for the 2012-13 school year is $228; tuition for the 2013-2014 school year to be decided. A non-refundable tuition deposit will be due after you register.

Class placement is based on date form is received at the BC Parent Education office. For best class choice, form should be received as soon as possible.
