Admission Requirements

Application Deadline

  • February 3, 2012 for 2012-13 Full-Time Option

To apply for the program, you must complete or meet the following admission requirements:

  • Completed Bellevue College Application
  • Completed Nursing Application
  • $40 Application Fee
  • Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
    TEAS must be completed within the valid test period and cannot be taken more than 2 times in the same period. You must take the Version V TEAS test. A minimum score of 74 is required. If you took TEAS at another institution, you need to request an official transcript through ATI (http://atitesting.com/Solutions/PreNursingSchool/TEAS.aspx). A copy of your score report will NOT be accepted.

  • Transcripts & General Education Course Requirement
    • All general education requirements (39 credits) must be completed before applying to the program.
    • A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 is required with a minimum of 2.0 in any given course.
    • If you are transferring credits from another institution, you must submit official transcripts.
    • Required general education courses:
      • Starting 2013-2014 Admission, all science courses (CHEM 121, BIOL 241, BIOL 242 and BIOL 260) will have a seven-year time limit and must be taken within seven years prior to application

    • CMST 280: Intercultural Communication is now a co-requisite course. You will need to complete the course before graduation.

Admission Criteria

Selection is based on:

  • The number of general education credits completed with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (with no less than 2.0 in any course)
  • Ranking by the TEAS test score with a minimum of 74.  In the event of a tie, GPA ranking will be considered

Application Decision Notification

Applicants for Full-Time Program will be notified in April of admission to fall, winter, alternate list or not qualified. Applicants for Part-Time Program will be notified in November of admission to the program, alternate list or not qualified.
