Radiation & Imaging Sciences / BAS Degree

Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) Degree Overview

Bellevue College (BC) is proud to offer the first bachelor of applied science (BAS) degree program in radiation and imaging sciences in Washington State.

Overview

The BAS is a career-oriented bachelor degree program developed specifically to meet the career advancement needs of practicing professionals like you.  This is the only program of its kind in the state and among only a few in the nation.

The degree completion program is designed for certified professionals in radiologic technology, diagnostic ultrasound, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine. The first 90 credits of the degree are fulfilled by entrance prerequisites. The second half of the degree offers a professionally relevant curriculum that helps students achieve their goals.

New Bellevue College has received funding through a grant awarded under the President’s Community-Based Job Training Grants, as implemented by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment & Training Administration to add two new concentrations in Medical Dosimetry and Radiologist Assistant.

If you’d like more information about the BAS degree, more detailed information is included in the BAS Student Handbook [PDF], or you may contact the Radiation & Imaging Sciences (BAS program) office at 425-564-2316.
