Degree Concentrations
We offer two degree concentrations, depending on your professional goals.
Healthcare Information Technology (HIT)
The Healthcare IT concentration is developed specifically to provide students with in-depth technical knowledge to become effective members of teams that manage and perform the customization, implementation, integration and maintenance of healthcare information systems, data and components. Courses will prepare individuals for jobs that require IT skills and knowledge of the healthcare environment both of which are necessary for becoming an effective member of the Healthcare IT workforce.
Healthcare Management (HCM)
The Healthcare Management concentration will teach students the essentials of leadership and provide an overview of the business and administrative functions of healthcare Courses are focused on healthcare organization and management, accounting and budgeting, human resources administration, strategic planning, ethics, and health economics to prepare graduates for leadership roles throughout the healthcare system.
