Registration, Payments & Refunds

Late Registration Fees and Payment Policy

Upon registration payment is due within seven calendar days of your registration OR the first day of the quarter, whichever comes first.

If you register on or after the first day of the quarter, course fees are due immediately. If you are dropped from classes for non-payment you will be charged an additional fee (on a space available basis).

Late registration for classes will require a Blue Card during second week of the class. Payment for classes with the Blue Card must be made immediately or students will be dropped the next day for non-payment. Beginning Students registering during the third week of classes will be required to obtain a Red Card. Each card has a specific fee related to late registration; payment must be made immediately or student will be dropped for non-payment.

Payment for courses in the Fire Science program cannot be accepted in the HSEWI office and must be sent directly to the Cashier’s office (B126) either in person or by mail (money order or check made payable to Bellevue College) contact 425-564-2309 for mailing address and instructions. Students registering online may pay by credit card.

Dropping a Course

In order to drop a course, you must come to the program office (R130) in person.  Arrangements for out-of-state or long-distance students may be made by e-mailing the program director.   We apologize, but we are prohibited from processing dropped classes over the telephone. Dropped classes will be refunded in accordance with Fire Science Program refund policy.

Refund Policy

Students enrolled in classes meeting weekly or online are entitled to a refund through the first 8% of instructional days of a course (these are college instructional days, not class days). There can be no refunds after this point. 

All drops must be reported as soon as possible to our main office in R130 in person prior to receiving a refund. If you drop a class online or through Student Services, you will still need to notify us of the drop. 

IMPORTANT: If you drop a class through the web, in addition you must contact our office in person. For students out of state or completing coursework by distance education contact theprogram director by email for more information. Contact the office Monday - Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM at 425-564-2012.
