RN Refresher Program
We offer a Registered Nurse Refresher Program in two different schedules to meet your needs.
Our RN refresher program is for registered nurses who
- have not been actively practicing.
- have been working in nursing positions other than acute care.
- need to reactivate their Washington State licensure.
- international nurses who desire current nursing theory and practical nursing skills knowledge.
Content in the program includes up-to-date information on
- the nursing process.
- nursing diagnosis.
- physical assessment.
- pharmacology.
- the pathophysiology and management of common medical-surgical conditions.
Other topics include:
- pain management
- patient teaching, informatics
- oncology
- women’s health
- legal issues
- nursing ethics
The skills review and clinical practicum provide opportunities to refresh nursing skills and to work with an instructor in an adult acute care setting. BC is a Washington State approved refresher program that provides twice a year programs with classroom learning opportunities, online courses, and instructor supervised clinical practice.
