Alcohol / Drug Counseling

Academic Options

Certificate of Achievement

Our certificate program provides the knowledge, skills and training required for counseling in the field of chemical dependency treatment. The program is designed for students that are completing state-defined requirements to become a chemical dependency professional (CDP), probation assessment officers (PAO), alcohol/drug information (ADIS) instructor and substance abuse prevention specialist (SAPS) certifications. The program provides students and members of the Bellevue community information about chemical dependency and addiction treatment.

Note: Students graduating from the Alcohol/Drug Counseling Program having completed the requirements for the Certificate of Achievement in Alcohol/Drug Counseling have the privilege of sitting for the NAADAC certification exam.  Successful completion of the exam does not meet eligibility requirements for NAADAC certification as a NCAC1 or Washington State Licensure as a Chemical Dependency Professional. For more information contact the program office at 425-564-2012 to attend a group advising session.

For more information, contact Paul Weatherly MA-CDP, program director and advisor, 425-564-2012.
