Foundation Staff

Larry Herron, Interim Executive Director, BC Foundation and Interim Vice President, Institutional Advancement

Larry most recently served as Vice President for Development at The Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle managing fund-raising, communications, publications, the website, media relations, and events for the Institute, an independent non-profit biomedical research institution founded in 2000. Prior to that position, he was Vice President of Development and External Relations for the Boston-based CBR Institute for Biomedical Research, Inc. (CBRI), a self-governing affiliate of Harvard Medical School now doing business as the Immune Disease Institute. Larry has also held institution-wide positions at Northeastern University and Tufts University. He graduated the University of Iowa and the University of Chicago.

He has served on the Boards of Directors of the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association (WBBA) and the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research (NWABR). As a supporter and volunteer for the arts, he serves as president of the board of directors of the Early Music Guild of Seattle, vice president of the board of directors of the Seattle Chamber Music Society, and a member of the board of overseers for Opera Boston.
