The Lockwood Distinguished Faculty Award is conferred by the Board of Trustees and accompanied by a $10,000 stipend for the accomplished faculty member recognized for their achievements.
The Lockwood “Distinguished Faculty” Award is a designation created and conferred by BC’s Board of Trustees to recognize and reward the teaching and learning excellence of BC’s most accomplished faculty and to provide college wide acknowledgement which this level of achievement merits. The Distinguished Faculty Award may be conferred upon faculty members in any of the disciplines or fields of study at the College.
IIndividuals so recognized as "Distinguished Faculty" are celebrated at commencement at which time they are rewarded with a stipend of $10,000 and presented with the Distinguished Faculty medallion, specifically commissioned to commemorate this distinction.
