BCC Waiver

The Financial Aid Office is offering a new waiver for the 2007-2008 academic year, the BCC Waiver. It is a unique funding option because it is available to students who are otherwise not receiving federal or state funds through the BCC Financial Aid Office.

The Financial Aid Office seeks to serve needy students. We are able to target students who are not eligible for traditional financial aid, therefore eligible non-citizens, citizens, and students applying for an I-171 or an I-464 (Applications for Permanent Residency) are eligible to receive this funding. The BCC Waiver has no credit requirements; students can enroll for five credits and be eligible. The waiver only covers tuition which means students will need to pay their fees, nor is the waiver convertible to cash.

Applications are available now in the Financial Aid office, and posted on our website. We will begin accepting applications on August 6th with the application period ending August 17th. Notification letters will be mailed on August 29th. We have approximately $85,000.00 in waivers to award so the funds will go quickly.
