The purpose of this course is to provide you with a fundamental overview of online communication strategies and tactics available to organizations. This will be accomplished through the study and application of specific online communications tools and techniques used by real-world companies and non-profits. There will be an opportunity to meet with representatives from the media (journalists, producers, editors) as well as business managers (nonprofits, corporations, small businesses) to get their real-world perspective on interactive media. Students will create a professional portfolio with interactive media components (i.e. podcast, blog entry, press release, PowerPoint, etc.) in this course.
