Studying at a Distance

Many students attending BCC may not live in the state of Washington. Our distance education program allows you to study at home during the times that work for you.

Financial Aid and Distance Education

Students participating in distance education classes are eligible for financial aid and must complete the same application process. You can apply here.

How Do Distance Students Receive a Financial Aid Check (out of the proximity of BCC)

Students enrolled in distance programs should follow this process in order to receive their financial aid check.
  1. Access at least one of your course materials so your instructor can confirm you have participated in "class".
  2. Email your instructor and request they send you an email confirming you have participated in class.
  3. Forward the instructor's email to financialaid@bellevuecollege.edu and include in the email your address with the request that your check be mailed to you.

Checks are usually mailed within two business days once we receive your request.

How Do Distance Students Receive a Financial Aid Check (within the proximity of BCC)

Students enrolled in distance programs (within drivable distance of the college) should follow this process in order to receive their financial aid check.

  1. Access at least one of your course materials so your instructor can confirm you have participated in "class".
  2. Email your instructor and request they send you an email confirming you have participated in class.
  3. Print out your instructor's email and take it to the cashiering window along with photo ID to pick up your check.
