    Free Tax Assistance and FAFSA workshops offered by BC Financial Aid Office

    The BC Financial Aid Office will host  free tax assistance and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) workshops on campus over the next three months.   If you earned less than $57,000 in 2012 and plan to file a 1040A or 1040EZ, United Way tax volunteers can help you file your taxes for FREE!   Afterwards, BC Financial Aid advisors can help you complete your FAFSA online and explain other items needed to receive financial aid at BC.   Bring your necessary tax documents and come see us on one of the following dates:

    The First Nations Student Association presents the movie "END: CIV", which examines our culture’s addiction to systematic violence and environmental exploitation.

    Based in part on Endgame, the best-selling book by Derrick Jensen, this movie asks: “If your homeland was invaded by aliens who cut down the forests, poisoned the water and air, and contaminated the food supply, would you resist?”

    We have also invited the noted Dakota activist and writer, Professor Waziayatawin, to talk about the movie and about the issue of Decolonization.

    Science Division Open House

    SAMI and the Bellevue College Science Division will host a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) on Saturday, May 4 from 10am to 2pm in the college's S (Science) Building.  The event is free and open to the public. All activities will take place in the S building on the main campus of Bellevue College. Free parking will be available in the Bellevue College Parking Garage.

    During the event, visitors of all ages can collect stamps in their STEM passports as they engage in hands-on activities and demonstrations from BC's five Science Division programs: Earth and Space Sciences; Engineering Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematics, and Physical Sciences. Activities will include:

    An insect room with  butterflies, Bess Beetles, and termites

    Wave Tank Demonstrations in the Oceanography lab

    A Shark Tooth Fossil Dig

    Planetarium Shows
