    Leaping for Literacy: HSDC's 5th Annual 5K Fun/Run/Walk & 1K Tadpole Race

    Admission costs/fees: $30-$35 (Adult) or $10-$12 (Child)

    This event is fun for everyone!  Runners and walkers of all speeds and abilities are all welcome, as well as parents with strollers.  Kids will love the 1K around the campus, meeting Webbly, the Aquasox mascot, and participating in activities like coloring, face painting, bubbles and ASL storytelling time in the Kids' Zone.  Adults can get free hearing screenings and brief massages.  Families can check out a variety of resources at the info fair.  All proceeds will benefit HSDC's Connor McRae Scholarship Fund, supporting early learning services for children who are deaf, hard of hearing or facing speech-language challenges.     39th Annual Pride Parade

    The LGBTQ Resource Center will provide free bus transportation for the 39th Annual Pride Parade in Seattle on Sunday, June 30.  Bellevue College is registered to march in the parade.  We will meet at the flag pole at 8:45 a.m. and leave promptly at 9:00 a.m.  The parade will start at 11:00 a.m. and will take approximately 2 ½ hours.  We will leave Seattle at 2:00 p.m. and return to the college at 2:30ish.  If you are interested in riding on the bus with students, please email me this week so we know what size bus to charter.  Thank you.
