Student Programs is partnering with the City of Bellevue to bring you Native Vision, a performance art/documentary about the discrimination faced by Navajos growing up in the 1900s -- from the point of view of a girl who has been taken from her family to live in a government-run boarding school.
Join us for this compelling glimpse into our history, with performance artist Lily Gladstone.
Join us for this film presentation sponsored by the City of Bellevue, the First Nations Club, and ASG.
Native Vision documents the experience of a young Navajo girl who is removed from her home and placed in a government-run boarding school in an effort to "civilize" Native Americans. Her vision of becoming a modern healer in a changing world is brought to life as her community joins the US in WWII.
Join us today in C120 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. as the Art Department hosts the annual Holiday Pottery Sale!
This is a chance for you to get some great bargains and find one-of-a-kind items made by local artists -- many of whom teach or work as artists here at Bellevue College, or who were students here and went on to become artists elsewhere!
The sale is good for the college as well as a portion of each sale goes to support the Ceramics studio, helping to buy needed tools and supplies.
This is always a HUGELY popular event! The artists are on hand during the day to talk about how they made their pieces.
