How do I get my SID or PIN?

You may retrieve your SID online now.

Students who apply online will receive their SID via e-mail after the application has been processed. If you apply in person, you will receive your SID at that time. You will not be able to register immediately. PIN numbers are not mailed to students. Your PIN number is initially set as your birth date, using the MMDDYY format. You should change your PIN on a regular basis to further protect your personal information. Changing your PIN and looking up your SID are two services you can easily locate from the My Online Services menu available on every page of the website.

How do I confirm my registration time?

You may confirm your registration time online now.

You will be required to wait to register until your appointed time (or anytime after) to register for your classes. The time assigned to you is based on how early you submitted your admissions application. If you applied for admissions after the admissions deadline, you are allowed to register one day following the general date specified for new student registration or the day after your application is processed, whichever is later.

Registration deadlines still apply so it is important to make sure you register before all registration deadlines to guarantee that you will not incur any additional fees or late charges.

How do I get a registration appointment?

If you don't have a registration appointment is usually means you need to reapply. If you have not registered for two or more quarters we require a new application. If you applied for admissions after the admissions deadline, you are allowed to register one day following the general date specified for new student registration or the day after your application is processed, whichever is later.

Application deadlines still apply so it is important to make sure you reapply before application deadlines to guarantee that you will not incur any additional problems.

You can reapply online through the web admissions center.

How do I add or drop a class?

After you’ve followed the steps to register, you can modify your list of classes up until the deadline for registration.

Follow these steps to add or drop a class:

  1. Go to https://wts.bcc.ctc.edu/virtual/waci221.html

  2. Type your student identification number (SID) in the SID field

  3. Enter your student PIN in the PIN field

  4. Select the correct quarter from the quarter drop-down list

  5. Click the 'LOG IN' button

  6. Enter the item number of the classes you wish to add or drop
(These fields will be located in the vertical frame of the schedule screen). Use the 4-digit item number format (i.e., 4592, 8854, and 2301, etc.)

  7. Click the Submit button

Note: If you enter a class item number for a class you are already registered in, the registration system will automatically interpret this as a request to drop the class. Likewise, if you enter a class item number that you are not yet registered for, the system will interpret the request as a new class you are adding to your existing registration.

How does the waitlist work?

If the class you wish to register for is full you will be asked if you want to be added to the waitlist.

The waitlist offers students a fair and consistent method of being enrolled in a full class if openings occur. If you choose to be put on the waitlist, you will be automatically registered for the class when a space becomes available. If you decide you no longer want to be on the waiting list for a class, return to web registration to check your waitlist status and have your name removed from the waiting list. Please check your schedule several times daily to find out if you have been registered for the class, and to be informed of your tuition and fees. If you register into another section of the same class you are waitlisted for, you will be dropped from the waitlisted section. If you have not been registered via the waiting list process by the first day of classes, go to the class on the first day for further instructions.

How do I troubleshoot 'server busy' or 'time-out' messages?

When you receive the message, 'Server session has timed out,' it can mean a couple different things.

You may be trying to access online services during off-hours.

Check the available service hours to first make certain you are accessing the service during an available time.

You may be accessing the service during a period of heavy use. This will sometimes result in receiving this message.

Keep trying to access the schedule information or online service--you should eventually be able to get through if you are accessing during available hours. If you continue to have problems and need immediate assistance, you can call (425) 564-2222.

If you are accessing the Internet through AOL, there may be a compatibility problem with your AOL browser.

You should be able to eliminate server 'time-out' messages when using AOL if you connect to the Internet with AOL, but use the Internet Explorer browser instead of the AOL browser.
