Accessibility
We are committed to providing access to all who visit, work, and study on campus. This page provides you with a general overview of the accessibility of our resources.
Digital Accessibility at Bellevue College
We are currently working to ensure that our campus’s services meet the expectations of the updated federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II requirements and the updated WA State digital accessibility policy (USER-01).
Learn more about digital accessibility at BCThe Disability Resource Center provides academic accommodations to students with a barrier related to a disability or health condition. Fill out an Access Form. The DRC will contact you to schedule a meeting to determine accommodations.

Campus Access
Entries and Elevators
The Campus Map has information about ramps, elevators, all gender restrooms, public restrooms, lactation rooms, and bus stops. There is also a general Parking Lot Map and Transportation Map featuring bus stops, bus routes and bicycle facilities.
You can contact the DRC if you find an automatic door broken or poorly functioning, or encounter another access barrier (e.g. broken elevator, construction/landscaping/event blocking access).
Parking
If you have a disabled parking placard you do not need to purchase a parking pass. Please be sure to display your placard correctly to avoid getting a ticket.
You can park:
- In street parking, or in any parking space that is time restricted (including metered parking). This does not apply to areas reserved for special types of vehicles (fire lanes, loading zones, reserved spots, etc.).
- In the parking lot that is closest to your destination.
- In any designated disabled parking space. Van-accessible spaces are designed for use by wheelchair vans. Use them only if you drive a wheelchair van or no other disabled parking spaces are available.
You can’t park in zones or areas:
- Where stopping, parking, or standing of all vehicles is prohibited.
- Reserved for special types of vehicles (fire lanes, loading zones, etc.).
Read more at WA State Licensing – Disabled Parking Permits and the Bellevue College Parking Portal.
To report a vehicle in a parking space that does not have a valid disability parking placard, please contact Public Safety in B132 or by calling 425-466-9365.
Website Access
All Bellevue college web contributors are required to develop websites that are accessible. The college has adopted policies that are consistent with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as amended by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (see policy 5110). In websites we develop we strive to meet the standards set forth by World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, AA standard. If you encounter areas of our website that are not accessible, please let us know as soon as possible by using the Website Feedback form, or via an ITS Service Desk Request.
