The college offers federal, state and institutional financial aid and offers a payment plan. Many programs are designed to assist with tuition and paying for books. Browse this page to learn more about these options.
Visit the Financial Aid website to apply for aid and find information such as the priority deadline. Many middle-income residents are eligible for the Washington State Need Grant; complete the aid process to determine eligibility.
BCC Student Tuition Pre-Payment Plan (STEPP)
Make payments toward your tuition and fees in three easy
installments using the Student Tuition Easy Pre-Payment Plan
(STEPP). A non refundable $50 annual fee will be charged to
you to set up your account. Once you’ve established
an account, you would begin making your payments two months
prior to the start of the quarter. You must enroll prior to
the start of the quarter. To find out more, inquire at the Cashier’s Office at

Worker Retraining
The Worker Retraining Program provides funding and other
resources to help unemployed individuals acquire the skills
they need to return to work. You can choose a short-term skills
upgrade or a new career path by enrolling in a professional/technical
program.
WorkFirst
WorkFirst is Washington State's welfare reform program that
helps financially struggling families find jobs, keep their
jobs, get better jobs and build a better life for their children.
Scholarships
The BCC Foundation offers several scholarships to BCC students every year. Check out the BCC Scholarships website for current listings, including scholarships offered from sources other than BCC.
TRiO Support Services
TRiO Student Support Services provides academic and personal
support for eligible students who are first-generation college
students, low-income students, or students with a documented
disability. Services include tutoring, study skills, advocacy,
laptop computer lending, activities and transfer assistance.
Opportunity Grant
The Opportunity Grant assists limited income adults in selected professional/technical programs shown to be in high demand. This program provides funding assistance of up to 45 credits and is designed to guide individuals into career ladders leading to self-sufficiency and address barriers to student success.
Food Stamp Employment & Training Program
The Food Stamp Employment & Training Program provides financial assistance for approved training programs to adults who currently receive food stamps from DSHS.

WorkSource Washington
WorkSource is a joint venture of organizations dedicated
to addressing Washington state’s employment needs. BCC
is a designated WorkSource Center for King County and can
assist you with exploring training options, or jobs, and connecting
you with helpful services to get you back to work.
