TEAS Testing
If you plan to apply for admission to the Associate Degree Nursing program, you are required to complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). The TEAS is designed to determine the academic readiness of applicants and contains four subtests in Math, Science, English and Reading. TEAS must be completed within one year of application and cannot be taken more than two times in any one year.

Pre-registration is required with a non-refundable fee of $44.70. The fee must be submitted at the time of registraton to secure your seat.

Registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis and must be completed at least two days prior to the test date.

Due to limited seating, make sure your availability before registering a test session. You cannot change your test schedule unless you re-register with another non-refundable fee of $44.70.

How to register for the test
The TEAS test is offered in partnership with the Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI). You must create an account with ATI and register a test with BC Assessment Office prior to the test. Complete both of the following steps:
Step 1: Create an account with ATI - visit ATI website to create your account, username and password. Select "Bellevue College" as your institution. You need to bring your ATI username and password on your registered test day to take the test.
Step 2: Register a test with BC Assessment Office - Go to the Testing Schedule below to select a test day and time. Follow the instructions on the registration page (you may need to create a Membership Account if you are new to the registration site). Pay the required fee of $44.70 ($25 TEAS test fee, and $19.70 BC testing lab fee).
Registration and fee must be submitted prior to the deadline.
Testing Schedule
Here is the testing schedule. All applicants should complete testing in October to December. Additional schedule will be added in January for re-testing only.
To register, click on the day you plan to take the test. Be sure of your availablity for the day you register. The registration fee is non-refundable. If you change your test date, you need to register again with a new fee.

NOTE: Due to limited seat availability, TEAS test registrations are accepted on a first come first serve basis. *(You can register and take the test with us even though you are not a current BC student)
Refund Policy: Registration fee is NOT refundable except if the test is canceled due to campus closure.
TEST DAY
I. What To Bring On Test Day
- Your TEAS admission ticket (it is sent to the email address you use for registering the test two days prior to your test day).
- Valid government-issued photo identification.
- Your ATI account username and password to log into your web account to take the test. You cannot start the test without these information. (See Step 1 above for creating an ATI account)
II. Important Regulations
- You need to arrive and check in 15 minutes prior to the testing time.
- No late admission is allowed once the test has started.
- The entire test may take up to 3 hours 30 minutes. However, you may leave if you finish the test earlier.
- You will receive score report right after you finish the entire test.
- Calculator is not allowed (scratch paper and pencil will be provided)
- No bag or back pack allowed in the test room. Please leave your belongings in your car or with your family or friends.
- No drinks or food in the test room.
- You may take break during the test for a maximum of 5 minutes. However, you can take break more than one time.
- Cell phone use is prohibited. If your phone makes noise, or you are seen using it at any time (including breaks), you may be dismissed immediately, your scores may be canceled. This policy also applies to any other prohibited digital and/or electronic devices such as BlackBerrys, CD players, pagers, PDAs, cameras or other photographic equipment, or separate timers of any kind.
What happens if there is bad weather on test day?
Check this website for test cancellations. If the college campus is closed or if the test center is unable to open on test day due to severe weather, a makeup test may be scheduled. You will be notified by email about a rescheduled test date. If conditions are dangerous, do not attempt to travel to the test center.
If the test center stays open and the test is given, but you are unable to reach the test center because of severe weather, email us at assessment@bellevuecollege.edu during the week after the test date for your options.

If you are unable to attend the scheduled makeup date, you
may reschedule for a future TEAS test date at no additional
charge. To do so:
- Select another test date from the testing schedule listed on this website.
- Send an email to assessment@bellevuecollege.edu.
- Identify yourself as having been registered to test on the test date that is cancelled, and indicate the alternate test date you select from our testing schedule.

1. Are there any online study guides or practice test
available?
Yes. There are study guides and practice tests on the ATI
website

2. Is it possible to retest only one section of the TEAS?
No. You will have to retest all four (4) sections.
3. Is there a retest fee?
Yes. The same registration fee of $43.75 is required.
4. What score or percentage is required?
There is no minimum score. Admission decision will be based on rank ordering of TEAS test results.
5. Can only BC students register for the TEAS Test?
No. Non-BC students can register also.
6. Can I use a calculator on the TEAS test?
No. Calculators are NOT allowed for the TEAS test.
7. How long until I receive my result from the TEAS?
The score will be available immediately after the test.
8. How do I send my TEAS result from another college to
BC?
You can request ATI send your result electronically to BC.

10. If I have a bachelor degree, do I need to take the
