Definitions of Class Types (OAS, OBS, OAC, OTS, etc.)

The first letter of the course code identifies the course as delivered online or as a telecourse.

O=Online Course (class is attended via a browser on the Web)
T=Telecourse (class is attended partially on campus and partially via cable television or CD/DVD video)

The second letter of the course code identifies the class section.

A=Section A
B=Section B, etc.

The third letter of the course code indicates either a state-supported or a contract course. NOTE that, effective Spring Quarter 2009, Distance Education contract sections (TAC, OAC, OBC, etc.) will be offered only for Fire Science (FS) and Early Learning & Teacher Education (ECED) courses.

S=State supported
C=Contract
