English and Math Assessment

Before you register for a math course or for an English composition course, you must meet certain prerequisites. Prerequisites for courses are listed in the Bellevue College Catalog, in Quarterly Schedules, and in the course descriptions accessable from the List of Distance Courses.

If you have not taken a prerequisite course, you must take a placement test. 

For information about placement, go to the English assessment page or the math assessment page or communicate with an advisor.

However, before you may take the placement tests for math and English, you must be enrolled at Bellevue College and have received your Bellevue College Student Identification Number (SID).  If you are not yet enrolled at Bellevue College, click on Registration in the menu to your left and follow the instructions for downloading and submitting an application for admission. Once you have received your Student Identification Number, you may take the placement tests.
