Description:

An introduction to other electroneurodiagnostic recordings used in the neurological area. Emphasis will be placed on polysomnography (sleep disorders) and long-term epilepsy monitoring.

Outcomes:

After completing this class, students should be able to:

1. Perform polysomnography patient hook-up 2. Score sleep stages and respiratory events 3. Assess CPAP management for polysomnography 4. Assess EKG dysrhythmias and how they relate to polysomnography 5. Perform the 10-10 system of electrode placement 6. Ensure patient safety and assess patient during and after a seizure
