2 credits, hybrid class

Introduces the steps and benefits of building an online portfolio. Through this flexible, creative and evidence-based approach, you will demonstrate learning gained from class assignments or projects, volunteer work, and job experiences. You will reflect, select and develop evidence of your learning and organize it using simple, readily accessible online tools. The completed learning portfolio enables you to communicate interests, experience, skills, and personal qualities to prospective employers, universities, and scholarship providers.

Class combines online learning with two on-campus meeting times on January 17, 3:00–5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 7, 3:00–5:00 p.m., Room R205. Credit tuition and fees apply. Academic Internship Experience – EXPRL 191, 192, 193 (1-5 credits)

Learn how to create a winning résumé and represent your best talents in interview situations. Guest speakers from local companies will tell you what they really want to see on résumés and hear about in job interviews.Class will include practice interviews with company representatives.

This class will launch you onto the path to success! You will identify your interests and transferable skills, find career options that fit your skills and experience, get the latest information on re-training, and learn job-search strategies to help you land the right position.Fee: $99.

Workshops are free, non-credit informational sessions that provide you with a variety of career-related skills and information. They introduce you to the services offered by Center for Career Connections and can be a good first-step or refresher. Workshops are presented by a professional Career Specialist and are usually 1-2 hours in length. They are free, but registration is required.

This is an excellent way to experience a realistic interview and receive feedback, without the pressure. You will need to e-mail your résumé one week prior to your practice interview to jfoster@bellevuecollege.edu to participate.
