Faculty Profiles
Michael practices civil rights law and has taught at WSU, EWU and several community colleges in the area. He has published extensively in history, American Studies, Ethnic studies and law. He received his BA from Whitman, his MA in history from the University of Maine, his JD from Temple University and his PhD in history from Washington State University.
Karrin was in-house counsel for Wall Data, Microsoft, Amdahl, and Apple prior to having her own practice. She teaches courses on intellectual property and legal issues in new technologies at Seattle University and the UW. Karrin received her JD from the University of Wisconsin.
Shawn worked for Deloitte Touche before starting his own private practice as an accountant. He received his Masters in Accounting from Brigham Young University and holds the CPA designation.
Kevin was recently an attorney with Microsoft. He was Assistant Director at Harborview Medical Center Human Resources. He has been an investigation and resolution manager for the University of Washington, a contract attorney and a special deputy prosecutor for King County. Kevin received his JD from the University of Oregon Law School and his BA from the UC Davis.
Dan has worked as a health care statistician for Swedish Hospital and is currently a statistician at Premera Blue Cross. He holds a MA in Biostatistics from UC Berkeley, MS (Biostatistics) from the University of Washington, and a MBA from City University.
Jeff is currently a cost analyst/system administrator for Valley Medical Center. Prior to that he worked with the Washington State Auditor's Office as a auditor and with International Paper as an assistant controller at a facility in California. If it is anything that touches accounting and finance, Jeff has probably done it at some time or another. His MBA and BA were from the University of Washington. He is both a licensed CPA and CMA.
Joydeep Das brings with him 18 years of international accounting and finance experience with Coopers, Philips Electronics and Amazon.com. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA degree. Joydeep is associated with Bellevue College from October 2008.
