Cox Home Run to Center Field Wins Game 1 vs. Edmonds

Tyler Cox hit a solo home run off Edmonds pitcher Brooks Roy to dead center field in the bottom of the 6th inning for a 3-2 win over the Tritons. Adrian Sampson struck out six and surrendered only two hits through six innings of work before giving way to relief specialist Scott Kuzminsky, who struck out the top two in the Tritons order, Kyle Phillips and Alex Potts before Taylor Brennan singled to keep Edmonds' hopes alive in the seventh. Kuzminsky then picked off Brennan to end the game. Game two was rained out and is tentatively scheduled to be made up Monday April 4 weather permitting. Games two and three of the four-game series will be at Edmonds CC tomorrow, Sunday April 3 at 1PM.
