Alumni Highlights: Major Leaguer Evan Meek and Others Major League All-Star Evan Meek is featured in the following article here regarding his wild journey to the big leagues. Another alumni, Michael Lee (2007 NWAACC Championship game-winner) has made the big jump over the single A level and is now a starter at the AA level in the Boston Red Sox organization. Here is an update on his first start. Blaine Hardy was a candidate to make the major league club for the Kansas City Royals but will start the season out of the bullpen for the AAA Omaha Storm Chasers. Going from the major leagues back to the minors to be his own boss if former major league groundskeeper Kevin Dvorak, who earned fame last spring helping Seattle Mariner outfielder Milton Bradley out (archived article). Dvorak, a former all-NWAACC first baseman and volunteer coach who honed his craft at groundskeeping here at Bellevue's Courter Field, is now the head groundskeeper for the Beloit Snappers in the class A Midwest League.
