Background: Transfer from Columbia Basin College…sat out the ’08 season after suffering shoulder injury diving for a ball at the NWAACC Sophomore Showcase game in September ’07…hit .292 with 3 HR and 28 RBI as a freshman at CBC…two-year letter-winner at Woodinville HS for Coach Terry Agnew…team finished fifth at state 4A playoffs with 19-5 record…hit .420 with 22 RBI and 31 runs...was also 9-0 with a 1.82 ERA as a pitcher…First Team All-KingCo 4A outfield, Second Team All-KingCo 4A pitcher, Team MVP, Team Captain, Silver Bat Award, Third Team All-State outfield in ’06…selected by the San Diego Padres in the June draft in ’06…hit .412 with 22 RBI as a junior earning First Team All-KingCo 4A outfield and Team MVP…played two summers for Bankers Connie Mack…also a two-year letter-winner in basketball at Woodinville for Coach Jamie Rowe.
Scouting Report: Highly regarded out of high school, may be the comeback player of the year for the '09 season after sitting out with injury last year...athletic outfielder that can legitimately play all three outfield spots at college level…will enter spring as a middle of the order hitter… tremendous bat speed… advanced hitting approach.
