Bellevue Sophomore Jason Moseby was a perfect 4 for 4 in helping Bellevue to a victory over Phoenix College on March 21

The BCC baseball team left the winter wonderland conditions in the northwest and headed south to sun picking up two victories against the top competition in the region.

On Friday March 21, the Bulldogs found themselves playing two different teams in one day. In the afternoon BCC dropped a game again Elgin CC out of Illinois. Bellevue bounced back hours later defeating Phoenix College 12-9 in a slugfest. Sophomores Will Campbell and Jason Moseby and freshman Michael Robertson provided the punch for the Bulldogs, with Campbell going 3 for 5 driving in 2, Robertson adding 3 hits of his own while driving in 3 and scoring once, and Moseby going an impressive 4 for 4, scoring 3 times. Sophomore pitcher Steven Foster picked up the win going 3 innings strong giving up only 1 earned run. Freshman Brent Miller went two innings also giving up only 1 earned run to pick up the save. BCC was not as fortunate the next afternoon dropping a double header to the same Phoenix squad.

In a unique opportunity, BCC got their crack against a team of major league players on March 24, taking on the San Francisco Giants rookie team. The Bulldogs held their own, keeping the game tied going into the 7th inning before falling 13-9. Sophomore Nick Johnson led the way for Bellevue, going a perfect 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 2 Runs scored.
